Internet Using Your Cellphone

The internet has become a huge part of our lives now, often it is quite an inconvenience to leave it behind when you leave home or work. For this reason, browsing the internet on a mobile is becoming more popular and a feature that nearly all networks now provide.

Unfortunately, unless you purchase a high end , or "smart" phone, it is unlikely that your mobile phones has a browser which is capable of accessing the web fast enough, and it is unlikely that it will display the pages accurately.

If you have a Java enables mobile, it is quite likely that Opera Mini will run on your Mobile Phones, and if it does, it will almost certainly work better than the one bundled with your phone. Opera Mini gives any mobile which runs it the capability to view full fledged HTML websites, manages to load them faster than your mobile browser. It does so by using a dedicated grid of servers which compress the data before sending it to your mobile.

Opera Mini provides good integration features with Opera for the Desktop as well by providing synchronization of bookmarks. Best of all you can browse the same websites you do on your computer. You can check your email at GMail, or read you feeds using Google Reader or the internal RSS reader in Opera Mini. An upcoming version of Opera Mini (v5) even supports multiple tabs!
